Columbus County Community Foundation awards more than $7,000 in local grants (July 2020)
The board of advisors of the Columbus County Community Foundation recently announced $7,670. in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.
This year the board granted:
- $1,000 to the Columbus Baptist Association for the toy store
- $1,020 to the Columbus County Arts Council for COVID-19 general operating support
- $650 to the Columbus County DREAM Center, Inc. for NETworX for Hope Columbus County
- $1,000 to the Friends of the NC Museum of Natural Sciences at Whiteville for Saturday Science
- $1,000 to Living Hope Pregnancy Support Services for prenatal vitamins for expectant mothers
- $1,000 to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare for capacity building and program enhancements for Lower Cape Fear LifeCare’s Begin the Conversation, an advance care planning education program
- $1,000 to Prevent Blindness North Carolina for Star Pupils Columbus County
- $1,000 to Special Olympics North Carolina for Special Olympics North Carolina – Columbus County
