Community grants available from the Edgecombe Charitable Foundation

The board of advisors of the Edgecombe Charitable Foundation will begin accepting grant applications from nonprofits serving needs in the local community.

Funds are available for nonprofit organizations serving Edgecombe County and will be awarded from the community grantmaking fund. Grants typically range from $500 to $5,000 with a maximum of $10,000 for a single organization for an "Impact Grant." Special consideration is given to grant proposals with a focus on education from the Mary Ferebee Howard Endowment Fund.

Applications are available beginning July 15. Visit nccommunityfoundation.org/Edgecombe for information about applying. The deadline for applications is noon on Aug. 16.

Grants are not available for regranting purposes, capital campaigns, capital improvements, out-of-state travel or for individuals. Funds are awarded by the board of advisors of the Edgecombe Charitable Foundation, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF).

“We are grateful for the work of the many nonprofits that serve Edgecombe County,” said Michael Peters, board president. “It is an honor to be able to offer these grants to help them in their important missions.”
