{"tinyMCE_dummy":"","title":"Community grants available from the Haywood County Community Foundation","url":"\/news\/community-grants-available-from-the-haywood-county-community-foundation-2022","meta":{"title":"","description":"","excludeFromSitemap":"No"},"ordinal":999,"content":"<p>The board of advisors of the <a href=\"\/communities\/western\/haywood-county\">Haywood County Community Foundation<\/a> will begin accepting grant applications from nonprofits serving needs in the local community.<\/p>\r\n<p>Funds are available for nonprofit organizations serving Haywood County and will be awarded from the community grantmaking fund. Past grants have generally ranged from $500 to $1,500.<\/p>\r\n<p>Applications are available beginning Friday, July 8. Visit <a href=\"\/\">nccommunityfoundation.org<\/a> for information about applying. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, Aug. 9 at noon.<\/p>\r\n<p>Grants are not available for regranting purposes, capital campaigns, capital improvements, out-of-state travel or for individuals. The competitive grants program is held annually.<\/p>\r\n<p>Advisory board members live and work in Haywood County, positioning them to strategically leverage resources, meet local needs and access opportunities. In addition to Dangerfield, board members include Emily McCurry (vice president), Gary Lance (secretary\/treasurer), Morgan Beryl and Melford Wilson.<\/p>\r\n<p>The Haywood County Community Foundation makes it easy to support your community. You can open an endowment for your favorite cause at any time or contribute to an existing fund in any amount. Tax-deductible contributions, made payable to the Haywood County Community Foundation, can be mailed to the North Carolina Community Foundation, 3737 Glenwood Ave., Suite 460, Raleigh, NC 27612.
