The board of advisors of the Alleghany County Community Foundation (ACCF) announces the opening of its 2012 grants cycle. Charitable organizations are invited to apply for financial support for local projects through ACCF until the April 30 deadline.
In its 10th year of grant making, the ACCF has nearly $4,000 to award for 2012 through the Alleghany Opportunity Fund, which enables the community foundation to respond to changing community needs and to enhance the quality of community life within the county through annual grants to local nonprofit organizations.
The community foundation’s grant process is entirely online again in 2012. For those without computer or Internet access, local libraries have computers available for the public to use free of charge.
