The Madison County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation, recently visited a cherished county nonprofit organization, Community Housing Coalition (CHC).

The CHC’s mission is to facilitate healthy, safe, and affordable housing for low and very low-income residents of Madison County.

Evidence of the Coalition’s commitment can be seen in service to over 1,200 homes and nearly 2,200 individuals over the past 22 years.  Over 90% of CHC Neighbors live on less than 50% of the area median income, with most recipients in need being elderly, disabled, single-parents and veterans.

The Madison County Community Foundation is grateful for the Community Housing Coalition’s commitment to the people of Madison County.  In the past ten years, the Foundation has provided over $10,000 in support.
