Currituck-Dare Community Foundation awards more than $18,500 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Currituck-Dare Community Foundation recently announced $18,580 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.

This year the board granted:

  • $3,500 to the Albemarle Commission Senior Nutrition Program for 2020 Currituck Dare Meals on Wheels
  • $1,000 to the Autism Society of North Carolina for Autism Resources Specialists in Currituck and Dare counties
  • $780 to the Children & Youth Partnership for Dare for Explore to Learn Playgroups
  • $1,000 to Hatteras Island Meals Inc. for general operating support
  • $1,000 to Interfaith Community Outreach, Inc. for direct services and cancer outreach for Currituck and Dare County residents
  • $1,500 to Kids First, Inc. for accredited child abuse comprehensive services
  • $2,000 to the NC Agricultural Foundation, Inc. for the Currituck County 4-H & Schools Virtual Learning Program
  • $1,000 to the North Carolina Coastal Federation for environmental enrichment learning
  • $500 to the North Carolina Symphony for digital music education programs for Currituck and Dare County students
  • $2,000 to OBX Room In The Inn for help for Dare County homeless
  • $1,000 to the Outer Banks Dementia Friendly Coalition for general operating support
  • $800 to the Outer Banks Hotline for clean clothes for survivors
  • $1,000 to Prevent Blindness North Carolina for Star Pupils Currituck-Dare Counties
  • $500 to Special Olympics North Carolina for Special Olympics North Carolina - Currituck and Dare Counties
  • $1,000 to The Beloved Haven for the drop-in center
