Disaster Relief Fund distribution is updated

Sheila Tyler, board president, reports on recent Disaster Relief grant distributions received from the Charles W. Gaddy and Lucy Finch Gaddy Advised Fund, to benefit needs in Dare County. 

Three local organizations, still working to help residents address ongoing and unmet needs, received disaster grants: the Beach Food Pantry, the Lifeboat Community Food Pantry in Salvo and the Food Bank of the Albemarle. The Food Bank of the Albemarle will use these funds to help with mobile food deliveries to the Manns Harbor community. 

In all, the Currituck-Dare board has helped to distribute over $14,000 to help address local needs in Dare and Currituck since Hurricane Irene hit.
