Duplin County Community Foundation and Duplin Foundation for Youth Advancement award more than $65,000 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Duplin County Community Foundation and Duplin Foundation for Youth Advancement announces more than $65,000 in local grant awards.

This year’s Duplin County Community Foundation nonprofit recipients include:

$570 to Albritton Recreation Park
$1,000 to Duplin Christian Outreach Ministries for Duplin Christian Outreach Ministries/Feed Our Hungry Children/Backpack Ministry- Summer Program
$1,000 to Duplin County Sheriff’s Office DARE Program
$1,000 to Pet Friends of Duplin County for free/low cost rabies clinics
$500 to Duplin County Cooperative Extension for 4-H Summer Camp
$900 to Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina-Duplin for Duplin Youth Career Skills
$1,000 to Diversity Nurtures Achievement Community Youth Center for Summer Enrichment Program
$700 to The Outlaw Foundation

$5,000 to JSCC/Educational Talent Search for James Sprunt Community College-Upward Bound
$1,000 to Wallace Presbyterian Church for Summer Reading 2016
$5,000 to Rones Chapel Area Community Center (RCACC) for Tutor to the Top
$4,150 to Beulaville Elementary GOTR/STRIDE
$2,500 to Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines for Duplin County Girl Scout Leadership Experience
