“Supporting local nonprofits strengthens the fabric of our community,” said Ed Emory, advisory board president of the Duplin County Community Foundation. “Together, we’re building lasting support, so resources are not just here today, but for generations to come”
“It is our responsibility to lend a hand,” said Debra Morrisey, advisory board vice president of the Duplin County Community Foundation and a fund advisor for the Family Cooperative Fund. “The one thing that keeps us going is cooperation.”
Funds for 2026 grants came from the community grantmaking fund, the Duplin Foundation for Youth Advancement and the Family Cooperative Fund. Each year, DCCF’s advisory board uses dollars from its endowment funds to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.
