Duplin County Community Foundation awards local grants

The board of advisors of the Duplin County Community Foundation announces 2016 awards from its community grantmaking fund.

This year’s nonprofit recipients include:

  • Albritton Recreation Park
  • Diversity Nurtures Achievement Community Youth Center for Summer Enrichment Center
  • Duplin Christian Outreach Ministries for Feed Our Hungry Children/Summer Backpack Ministry
  • Duplin County Cooperative Extension for 4-H Summer Camp
  • Duplin County Sheriff’s Office DARE Program
  • Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina for Duplin Youth Career Skills
  • Pet Friends of Duplin County for low cost rabies clinic
  • The Outlaw Foundation

Bob Kornegay, board president, thanked the community for support of the Brunswick County Community Foundation. “These grants are important to our community and our quality of life,” he said. “Critical programs would not be possible without the generosity of many individuals and organizations that have supported Duplin County’s community fund.”
