Duplin Foundation for Youth Advancement awards $10,000 in local grants

The Duplin Foundation for Youth Advancement recently announced $10,000 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.

This year the board granted:

  • $3,000 to the Diversity Nurtures Achievement Community Youth Center for
  • $3,000 to the Duplin Christian Outreach Ministries for the Feed Our Hungry Children and School Year Backpack Ministry
  • $1,000 to the Duplin County Sheriff's Office for the DARE Program
  • $500 to the Friends of Wallace Parks for the Operation Quaran-TOY program
  • $500 to the Grady Outlaw Memorial Library for the Grady-Outlaw Memorial Library Chromebooks for patron-use
  • $500 to the Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina-Duplin for Duplin Teen Court and Community Outreach
  • $1,000 to the Rones Chapel Area Community Center (RCACC) for Tutor to the Top
  • $500 to the Wallace Revitalization Association/The Learning Station at the Depot for the All Aboard the Garden Train program

Bob Kornegay, board president, thanked the community for its continued support. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so vital to the community,” he said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
