Eastern Band of Cherokees Community Foundation awards more than $1,600 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Eastern Band of Cherokees Community Foundation recently announced $1,690 in local grant awards from the community grantmaking fund.

This year the board granted:

  • $500 to Fontana Regional Library for the Reading Rover Bookmobile 2018 program
  • $1,190 to Reach Out and Read for the Cherokee Indian Hospital Pediatrics Reach out and Read program

Carla Jamison, board president, thanked the community for its support of the Eastern Band of Cherokees Community Foundation. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so vital to the community,” she said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported the Eastern Band of Cherokees Community Foundation and our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
