Franklin County affiliate opens 2014 grants cycle

The board of directors of the Franklin County Community Foundation is currently accepting grant requests for community projects funded from its community fund, according to Holt Kornegay, grants committee chair.

Funds are available for nonprofit organizations that serve general charitable needs in Franklin County. 

Applications are available online. The deadline for submitting applications is April 29.

The Franklin County Community Foundation is an affiliate of NCCF. The community fund was established to help support local charitable needs through annual grants. In addition to Kornegay, Franklin County Community Foundation board members are: Paris Branch-Ramadan, Diane P. Fleming, Walter Hurst, Rachel Monteverdi, Bob Powell, Darrell Smith, Al Wheless and Ruth Wheless
