Franklin County Community Foundation announces local grants opportunity for teachers (November 2018)

The board of advisors of the Franklin County Community Foundation announces the availability of small grants to teachers in Franklin County from its Education Fund. The mini-grants program was established to encourage creativity in effective teaching throughout the Franklin County School System.

All public school teachers and support personnel in grades pre-K through 12 are eligible to apply for grants between $100 and $350 for classroom projects or enrichment programs.

“This is an excellent opportunity for our teachers to get funding for their second-semester classroom projects,” said Diane Fleming, Education Grants Committee chair “We are happy to provide financial support through this endowment fund.”

Applications can be accessed at each school in Franklin County through the principal or curriculum resource teacher, or by clicking here. For assistance, contact Quinn Novels at the North Carolina Community Foundation at 919-256-6914 or qnovels@nccommunityfoundation.org. The deadline for applications is Jan. 21 at 5 p.m. Teachers will be notified by mid-February.
