Futrell-Mauldin Community Foundation for Greater Rocky Mount awards over $50,000 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Futrell-Mauldin Community Foundation for Greater Rocky Mount recently announced over $50,000 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.

Grants were made to the following:

  • $7,000 to A Touch of the Father’s Love, Inc. Ministry & Food Pantry for Boxes & Boxes to Move and Stack (Walkie Stacker for Food Donations)
  • $5,000 to Boys & Girls Club of the Tar River Region for Project Learn for the Nashville BGC
  • $5,000 to Down East Partnership for Children for Continuing the Legacy of the Family Resource Center
  • $2,000 to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC, Inc. for Nourishing families in Greater Rocky Mount
  • $5,000 to Meals on Wheels of Rocky Mount for Frozen Food Program
  • $7,500 to Peacemakers of Rocky Mount, Inc. for Freedom School
  • $7,000 to Ripe for Revival for “Farming Growth”
  • $1,000 to Special Olympics North Carolina for Special Olympics Nash County
  • $2,500 to Teach for America for “Supporting Rocky Mount Leaders for Educational Equity”
  • $2,500 to The Wright’s Center for operational support
  • $3,000 to TROSA for “Residential Substance Abuse Recovery Services for Individuals from Rocky Mount”
  • $6,370 to United Community Ministries for support of the community shelter
