The board of advisors of the Greene County Community Foundation (GCCF) celebrated Mardi Gras with a grand gala at the home of Susan Beamon, according to Christie Mozingo, board president.

“The Mardi Gras celebration is a fundraiser that our board holds only every other year on Fat Tuesday,” said Mozingo. “We out did ourselves this year with new menu items and the extended hours to accommodate all the people who wanted to attend.”

Money raised benefits grants awarded annually in the fall from the community grantmaking fund.
