Graham County Community Foundation awards more than $1,800 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Graham County Community Foundation recently announced $1,800 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.

This year the board granted:

$1,300 to Grace Extended Ministries for offering hope while extending grace – providing a safe space and place of hope for children whose parent(s) are receiving recovery services
$500 to the Hospice House Foundation of WNC for general operating support

Yvette Carringer, board president, thanked the community for its continued support of the Graham County Community Foundation. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so vital to the community,” she said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
