Graham County Community Foundation awards more than $2,000 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Graham County Community Foundation recently announced $2,170 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.

The board granted:

  • $1,170 to Graham Cancer Support Group to provide financial and humanitarian aid to residents of Graham County NC who are suffering from cancer
  • $1,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western North Carolina for the Re-Igniting Youth Development program.

Yvette Carringer, board president, thanked the community for its continued support of the Graham County Community Foundation. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so vital to the community,” she said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
