Grants available; deadline is April 12
The board of directors of the Currituck-Dare Community Foundation is currently accepting grant requests for community projects funded from its Community Fund and from its Woman’s Fund, according to Sheila Tyler, board president.
Funds are available for nonprofit organizations that serve general charitable needs in Currituck and Dare counties. The Woman’s Fund grant focus is to benefit the needs of women and children in these two counties. Both applications are available online only from the NCCF website. The deadline for submitting applications is April 12.
The Currituck-Dare Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation. The community fund was established to help support local charitable needs through annual grants. In addition to Tyler, Mike Painter is again serving as Grants Committee Chair. The Woman’s Fund has its own grants selection process involving all members of this group.
