Grants season opens in Yadkin for 2012

The board of advisors of the Yadkin County Community Foundation (YCCF) announces the opening of its grants cycle. Charitable organizations are invited to apply for financial support for local projects through YCCF through the April 13 deadline. The April 9 deadline was extended due to the long holiday weekend.

In its 12th year of grant making, the YCCF has up to $1,980 to award for 2012, with contributions from two funds: the Yadkin Legacy Fund and the Dr. William L. Wood, Sr. and Pauline “Polly” Hudspeth Wood Endowment Fund.

Proposals are being accepted for nonprofit programs that support the arts, environment, health, human services and other  charitable initiatives that benefit Yadkin County.

The community foundation’s grant process is entirely online again in 2012. The online application and info about online training materials can be accessed from the NCCF home page.

For those without a computer or Internet connection, local libraries have computers available for the public to use free of charge.
