Granville County Community Foundation awards 2013 local grants
The board of advisors of the Granville County Community Foundation announces its 2013 grant awards from its community grantmaking fund, totaling $18,000, according to Janet Slaughter, board president.
This year’s nonprofit recipients include:
- Girl Scouts NC Coastal Pines, Inc.
- Granville County Schools
- Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Outreach Ministry
- Converting Hearts, Inc.
- Prevent Blindness NC
- Granville County Historical Society Museum
- Area Congregations In Ministry
- The Humane Society of Granville County
Slaughter thanked the community for support of the Granville Community Foundation. “These grants are important to our community and our quality of life,” she said. “Critical programs would not be possible without the generosity of many individuals and organizations that have supported Granville County’s community fund.”
The Granville County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation. Tax-deductible contributions can be made to the Martha Frances Pruitt Community Fund, which is administered by the NCCF. Contributions should be made payable to the Martha Frances Pruitt/Granville County Community Fund and mailed to the North Carolina Community Foundation, 4601 Six Forks Road, Suite 524, Raleigh, NC 27609. Contributions can also be made online.
