Greene County Community Foundation awards $4,450 in local grants
The board of advisors of the Greene County Community Foundation recently announced $4,450 in local grant awards from the community grantmaking fund.
This year the board granted:
- $600 to Greene County Schools (Snow Hill Primary) for providing additional resources for visually impaired students
- $500 to the Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines for the Greene County Girl Scout Leadership Experience
- $1,000 to the Greene County Interfaith Volunteers, Inc. for the Hunger Program
- $600 to Greene County Museum for renovation
- $1,000 to Greene County School Health Services for School Health Services
- $750 to Special Olympics North Carolina for Special Olympics North Carolina – Greene County
Michael Rhodes, board president, thanked the community for its support of the Greene County Community Foundation. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so vital to the community,” he said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
