Hill joins NCCF as program officer serving western NC

Tyran Hill joined our staff in November as our program officer serving western North Carolina. He will partner with our vibrant nonprofit community, managing outreach to and engagement with nonprofit organizations, the grantmaking process for our affiliate foundations and affiliate-managed scholarships across the region.

Hill brings a passion for engagement and identifying solutions to meet the needs of underserved communities. Originally from Lexington, he currently resides in Asheville and is eager to put his skills and experience to work as a member of our Community Investment and Engagement Department.

Tyran Hill

Hill's experience includes serving as business development officer for the NC Community Development Initiative, local and regional policy officer for the NC Housing Coalition and organizational development consultant for the Union Miles Development Corporation. He has also served on grants committees for several foundations, including ours, as a member of the Louise Oriole Burevitch Endowment Committee. He is enthusiastic about philanthropy and committed to our great state, making him a strong addition to our team.

NCCF could not be more excited to have Hill join our team, according to Leslie Ann Jackson, NCCF vice president of community investment and engagement. "Tyran will be an asset to our work to engage nonprofit partners across western North Carolina," she said. "We're inspired by his passion for helping North Carolina's communities thrive."

Hill got started immediately, meeting with affiliate board members and nonprofit partners across the region his first week on the job. "It's been an exciting, fast start and I'm looking forward to continuing to delve deeper into NCCF's work across western North Carolina," he said. "It's an honor to be a part of a team working every day to build a stronger North Carolina."
