Johnston County Community Foundation hosts Wine and Cheese Reception

The Board of Directors for the Johnston County Community Foundation hosted a Wine and Cheese Reception on Thursday, November 20, to raise awareness of the Foundation and the 2014 Chairman’s Challenge. Over 50 guests gathered at the home of Jim and Ann Wilson to socialize, enjoy select wines and cheeses, and learn more about supporting the impact that the Johnston County Community Foundation has on Johnston County. 

Every gift made to a participating local affiliate’s community grantmaking fund between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30 will receive a proportional share of the challenge match grant. 

The Johnston County Community Foundation community fund represents an important source of grant-making for nonprofits in Johnston County. To date, they have granted out over $340,000 to organizations lending a hand to their neighbors in need, educating their youth, caring for their elderly and celebrating their culture. As this fund grows through additional gifts and investment, so, too, will the impact and outreach it will achieve for Johnston County.
