Jones County Community Foundation awards 2014 grants

The Jones County Community Foundation (JCCF) recently awarded 2014 grants to local nonprofit programs that address the problem of domestic violence. Receiving grants of $500 each were Coastal Women’s Shelter and Promise Place.

“These two grants represent our commitment to helping those who reside within our county,” said Vic Bryan, JCCF president. “We know that the client fund run by Coastal Women’s Shelter and the counseling provided to victims of abuse by Promise Place are two of the unmet needs of Jones County that our local grantmaking fund can positively impact within our community.”

JCCF is currently participating in the Chairman’s Challenge Campaign of the North Carolina Community Foundation. All gifts raised by JCCF through Nov. 30 will receive a proportional share of a matching pool.

Gifts can be made online here or visit this page to learn more details.

“The best part about giving to the JCCF is that you not only support the needs of Jones County today, but your gift will support Jones County tomorrow and forever,” Bryan said.
