The board of advisors of the Jones County Community Foundation announces a local grant award from its community grantmaking fund to Hummingbird House of Hope Center for Women’s Ministries.

Vic Bryan, board president, applauded the efforts of the group. “The mission of the Jones County Community Foundation is to ‘enhance the quality of life in Jones County through giving,’” he said. “We are so pleased to be able to support the worthy cause and good work of Hummingbird House and their dedicated volunteers because they make life better for every citizen in our area.”

Dan Ryan, grants chair, thanked the community for its support and noted that the grants would not be possible without the support of local individuals and businesses. “Our local donors are key to the success of this annual grants program,” he said. “Every dollar donated to the Jones County Community Foundation stays right here in Jones County to support local nonprofit organizations.”
