Lee County Community Foundation awards more than $14,000 in local grants
The board of advisors of the Lee County Community Foundation announces $14,950 in local awards from the community grantmaking fund.
This year the board awarded grants to:
- Prevent Blindness North Carolina for the Star Pupils Lee County program
- The Salvation Army of Lee County for Project CATCH (Community Action Targeting Children who are Homeless)
- Christians United Outreach Center of Lee County, NC Inc. for the Feeding Lee County program
- The Autism Society of North Carolina for the 2018 Camp Royall Program Scholarships
- TROSA (Triangle Residential Options for Substances Abusers Inc.) for residential substance abuse recovery services for individuals from Lee County.
Mikeal Basinger, board president, thanked the community for its support of the Lee County Community Foundation. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so important to our community,” he said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported the Lee County Community Foundation and our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
