Lenoir County Community Foundation awards 2016 local grants

The board of advisors of the Lenoir County Community Foundation announces local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.

This year’s nonprofit recipients include:

• Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain
• Community Council for the Arts
• GATE of Lenoir County North Carolina
• Greene Lamp
• Lenoir County Historical Association
• Pink Hill Elementary
• Pretty In Pink Foundation
• The Salvation Army

John Marston, board president, thanked the community for its support of the Lenoir County Community Foundation. “These grants are important to our community and our quality of life,” he said. “Critical programs would not be possible without the generosity of many individuals and organizations that have supported Lenoir County’s community fund.”
