Lenoir County Community Foundation awards more than $13,000 in grants (August 2022)

The board of advisors of the Lenoir County Community Foundation has awarded $13,050 in local grants from its community grantmaking fund, the Oakland Fund, and the Warren and Barbara Perry Fund.

The board granted:

“The Lenoir County Community Foundation has seen tremendous growth, allowing our local board to give back in even bigger ways,” said Sandy Skirving, the advisory board president. “In the past 10 years, we have awarded more than $100,000 to deserving local nonprofits to help better Lenoir County. With the help of local donors and volunteers, that impact continues to grow.”

The Lenoir County Community Foundation (LCCF) was founded in 1993 and is led by a local volunteer advisory board that helps build community assets by creating permanent endowments, making grants, and leveraging leadership and partnerships – all for the benefit of Lenoir County.

The LCCF board advises the unrestricted community grantmaking fund, the Oakland Fund and the Warren and Barbara Perry Fund to support local needs. The competitive grants program is held annually.

The LCCF makes it easy to support your community. You can open an endowment for your favorite cause at any time or contribute to an existing fund in any amount. Tax-deductible contributions, made payable to the Lenoir County Community Foundation, can be mailed to the North Carolina Community Foundation, 3737 Glenwood Ave., Suite 460, Raleigh, NC 27612.
