Martin CF awards Disaster Relief funds from the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund

The Martin County Board of Directors approved a Disaster Relief Grant to the Food Bank of the Albemarle to support local food pantries responding to needs of the community as a result of Hurricane Irene. The award of $2,450 comes from donations to the North Carolina Community Foundations’ Disaster Fund that had been allocated to Martin County by the state board of directors. Many other counties in the northeast region also received allocations from the NCCF Disaster Fund.
