Montgomery County Fund awards more than $28,000 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Montgomery County Fund recently announced $28,810 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund.

This year the board granted:

$6,000 to Montgomery County 4-H for their programming
$2,500 to Montgomery County Partnership for Children for Tree of Hope 2019
$5,000 to Montgomery County Partnership for Children for THRIVE – Summer Reading Pals
$3,000 to East Middle School for Transforming from a library concept to learning commons at East Middle School
$810 to Prevent Blindness North Carolina for Star Pupils Montgomery County
$5,000 to Communities in Schools of Montgomery County for student support services
$1,500 to Trinity Music Academy for Named Scholarship Program 2019
$2,000 to Central NC Council, Boy Scouts of America for Montgomery County Scout Reach
$3,000 to Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas for Montgomery County Childhood Cancer Safety Net
