Roffe and Marjorie A. Roffe Endowment and St. Joseph of the Pines Charitable Endowment for Moore County.<\/p>\r\n<p>This year the board granted:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>$500 to the Artist League of the Sandhills for general operating support<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,000 to ArtistYear for Moore County general operating support<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,000 to the Arts Council of Moore County for the PAMS program &amp; ACMC Youth Theatre 2020-21<\/li>\r\n<li>$2,275 to Authors in Moore Schools for general operating support<\/li>\r\n<li>$2,500 to the Autism Society of North Carolina for urgent needs in Moore County<\/li>\r\n<li>$500 to the Companion Animal Clinic of the Sandhills Foundation for purchasing, outfitting and staffing a mobile spay\/unit van for central North Carolina<\/li>\r\n<li>$2,000 to Drug Free Moore County for the Moving On... recovery project for men and women who have been incarcerated<\/li>\r\n<li>$2,500 to Family Promise of Moore County for the Client Assistance Fund for Emergency and Health Needs<\/li>\r\n<li>$15,000 to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, Inc. for nourishing families in Moore County amid COVID-19<\/li>\r\n<li>$7,000 to Friend to Friend for survivor support and prevention through BIPP<\/li>\r\n<li>$5,000 to Habitat for Humanity of the NC Sandhills, Inc. for the Moore County critical repairs program<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,000 to the Linden Lodge Foundation for updated shower doors in the main floor bathroom<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,500 to MIRA Foundation USA, Inc. for guide dog pairing with visually impaired children<\/li>\r\n<li>$2,000 to Moore Buddies Mentoring for general operating support<\/li>\r\n<li>$3,000 to the Moore County Literacy Council for improving literacy in Moore County<\/li>\r\n<li>$26,000 to the Moore Free &amp; Charitable Clinic for primary care, disease management and behavioral health<\/li>\r\n<li>$10,000 to the Northern Moore Family Resource Center for the HOPE (Harnessing Opportunity--Promoting Education) Academy Preschool Program<\/li>\r\n<li>$3,000 to Prancing Horse, Inc. for 2020 fall session support for individuals with disability to participate in equine assisted programs<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,000 to Prevent Blindness North Carolina for the Star Pupils Moore County program<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,000 to the Sandhills Machine Inc. for youth social development<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,000 to Sandhills PRIDE for virtualization of operations<\/li>\r\n<li>$7,500 to the Sandhills\/Moore Coalition for Human Care for COVID-19 emergency response<\/li>\r\n<li>$5,000 to The American Red Cross Serving Eastern NC Region for general operating support during the coronavirus pandemic<\/li>\r\n<li>$5,000 to The Arc of Moore County for post-COVID-19 operations<\/li>\r\n<li>$500 to The First Tee of the Sandhills for general operating support<\/li>\r\n<li>$2,500 to The Salvation Army for emergency financial assistance<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,500 to TROSA (Triangle Residential Options for Substance Abusers, Inc.) for residential substance abuse recovery services for individuals from Moore County<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Russell Sugg, board president, thanked the community for its continued support of the Moore County Community Foundation. &ldquo;We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so vital to the community,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.&rdquo;<\/p>\r\n<p>For further information, contact NCCF Community Leadership Officer Dawn Neighbors at (910) 292-4437 or <a href=\"mailto:dneighbors@nccommunityfoundation.org\">dneighbors@nccommunityfoundation.org<\/a>.<\/p>","excerpt":"<p>The board of advisors of the Moore County Community Foundation recently announced $110,775 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund, John W.
