Nan Ogburn Cullman Education grant open to Smithfield-Selma High teachers and staff
The Nan Ogburn Cullman Education Endowment supports public education in Johnston County in the areas of art, travel and leadership. For the 2023 cycle, the applications is open only to Smithfield-Selma High School full-time teachers and staff. Applications will be accepted from Aug. 15, 2023, through NOON on Sept. 15, 2023. Students are not eligible to apply.
Applicants may apply for up to $10,000. Grants will be awarded no sooner than mid-November 2023 and grant funds must be expended by Nov. 30, 2024.
About Nan Ogburn Cullman
NCCF administers the Nan Ogburn Cullman Education Endowment for Johnston County schools. The endowment
was established through the estate of the late Nan Cullman, a Johnston County native who led an extraordinary life as a professional singer and civic leader in Westchester County,
NY, and was a worldwide traveler and explorer. Learn more about her life.
How to apply
Applicants must apply using NCCF’s online grants system with the code cullman. The application form will be available from Aug. 15, 2023, to noon on Sept. 15, 2023.
- First, create an account profile. For assistance with creating your account, view the training slides.
- Once your profile is created, you will be directed to your dashboard.
- Click on the word “Apply” in the upper left-hand corner. You will arrive at a page with information about applying for a grant from NCCF.
- In the upper right-hand corner, you will see an “Access Code” box. In that box, type the word: cullman. Then, click on the Enter Code button. NOTE: The Access Code is case-sensitive.
- The page will refresh, and a link to the online application process, titled “Nan Ogburn Cullman Education Endowment for Johnston County,” will appear.
- Click on the blue Apply button to access the application form.
