NCCF’s community fundraising challenge returns for 10th year
Each year for the last decade, our 53 affiliates across the state raise money in their communities to support their local grantmaking.
We are kicking off that effort again and North Carolina Community Foundation is grateful to support our affiliates’ efforts with matching gifts during November. The more that is raised, the more we can collectively support the work of nonprofits serving North Carolinians.
Called the Chairman’s Challenge, this matching gift campaign originated from the NCCF statewide board of directors as a challenge and opportunity for our local affiliate foundations to devote every November to the pivotal task of building and growing permanent philanthropic assets to support local grantmaking in communities across the state.
The campaign is an important part of building philanthropy across North Carolina. Over the last decade, nearly $3.8 million has been raised to support community grantmaking across the state.
