Onslow Caring Communities Foundation awards more than $95,000 in grants

The Onslow Caring Communities Foundation has awarded $95,010 in grants to organizations supporting the local community.

The board of advisors granted:

Funds for the grants came from OCCF’s community grantmaking fund, the Onslow County Youth Fund and the Dallas Fred Allen Endowment.

“Supporting these local organizations is a privilege,” said Bobby Sheegog, advisory board president of the Onslow Caring Communities Foundation. “They provide so many great services in our community.”

OCCF is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation and is led by a local volunteer advisory board. Each year, OCCF uses dollars from its endowment funds to make grants to nonprofits that help the local community.

Onslow Caring Communities Foundation Advisory Board Members

Advisory board members live and work in Onslow County, positioning them to strategically leverage resources, meet local needs and access opportunities.
