Our grants window has opened (February 2012)

The Board of Directors of the Vance County Community Foundation is offering a free workshop for non-profits in Vance County to answer questions about the grant application, and discover other sources of funding for their projects, according to Patricia Newhouse, VCCF Board Chair.

The workshop will be offered on Tuesday, February 28, at 5:30 at the Chamber of Commerce office on 414 South Garnett Street in Henderson.  Seating is limited; please call 919-256-6914 before February 27 to reserve a seat.      

 The Vance County Community Foundation opened he grants process February 14 and will accept applications from local non-profits for projects funded from its community fund.  Grants typically range from $100 to $1000; total grant making for 2012 will not exceed $3,000.

 Applications are available at www.nccommunityfoundation.org (under “Affiliates/Northern Piedmont/Vance”); or by writing to the Vance County Community Foundation at 4601 Six Forks Road, Suite 524, Raleigh, NC 27609.  The deadline for submitting applications is April 13.
