Pineland/EMI Endowment awards six scholarships in 2014
Advisors to the Pineland College-Edwards Military Institute Scholarship Endowment announce the award of six scholarships to Sampson County students.
The Pineland College-Edwards Military Institute Scholarship Endowment was established by alumni to honor high school seniors in Sampson County who are interested in pursuing higher education at an accredited college or community college. Applicants must demonstrate character, financial need, service to the community, and scholarship. The North Carolina Community Foundation administers the scholarship endowment.
This year scholarships were awarded to:
- Emily Harrison, Hobbton High School. She plans to attend UNC Chapel Hill.
- Tara McCullen, Hobbton High School. She plans to attend Campbell University.
- Emily Rogers, Hobbton High School. She plans to attend Sampson Community College.
- Miranda Rose, Hobbton High School. She plans to attend Appalachian State University.
- Ross Strickland, Lakewood High School. He plans to attend Roanoke College.
- Samiara Waters, Union High School. She plans to attend North Carolina Central University.
