Robeson County Community Foundation awards local grants
The board of advisors of the Robeson County Community Foundation announces 2016 awards from its community grantmaking fund.
This year’s nonprofit recipients include:
- Arrested Potential for After-School Tutorial and Parental Skills Enhancement Program
- Communities in Schools of Robeson County for BakPak Pals
- Lumberton Rescue and EMS for Bariatric Stretcher
- Pembroke Housing Authority for Healthy Aging In Creative Arts
- Prevent Blindness North Carolina for Star Pupils Robeson County
- Reach Out and Read Robeson County
- Robeson County Partnership for Children for Exploration Station Scholarship Project
- Sacred Pathways for free books for youth with public library cards
- UNC Pembroke for College Bound: SAT Summer Institute
Annette Burke, board president, thanked the community for support of the Robeson County Community Foundation. “These grants are important to our community and our quality of life,” she said. “Critical programs would not be possible without the generosity of many individuals and organizations that have supported Robeson County’s community fund.”
