Robeson County Community Foundation awards more than $11,000 in local grants (July 2018)

The board of advisors of the Robeson County Community Foundation announces $11,340 in local awards from the community grantmaking fund.

This year the board will grant:

• $1,250 to UNC Pembroke Thomas Center for Entrepreneurship for the Jumpstart Your Business Idea program
• $1,000 to the Girl Scouts of North Carolina Coastal Pines for the Robeson County Girl Scout Leadership Experience program
• $1,000 to the Robeson County Partnership for Children Inc. for the Exploration Station Scholarship Project
• $1,300 to the Robeson County Humane Society for general operating support
• $1,000 to the Redhill Community Recovery Center for the Seeding Redhill Recovery program
• $1,000 to the American Heart Association for the CPR In Schools: Training the Next Generation of Lifesavers program
• $1,500 to the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill for the Robeson County Cares Fund program
• $1,000 to the Red Springs Arts Council for the Third Saturday Arts at the Farmer’s Market program
• $1,500 to the Lumberton Christian Care Center for the Feeding the Hungry in Robeson County program
• $790 to Lumberton Rescue and EMS Inc. for a CPR compression device

Kenny Biggs, RCCF board president, thanked the community for its support of the Robeson County Community Foundation. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so important to our community,” he said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported the Robeson County Community Foundation and our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
