Twelve non-profits awarded grants
The Board of Directors of the Johnston County Community Foundation announces 12 awards from its community fund, according to Betsy Whittington, board president.
This year’s nonprofit recipients include:
- Boys & Girls Club
- Community and Senior Services of Johnston County
- Family Life Center
- Harbor, Inc.
- House of Hope of North Carolina
- Johnston County Arts Council
- Johnston County Education Foundation
- Johnston County Industries
- Johnston County Youth Service
- Neuse River Foundation
- Partnership for Children of Johnston County
- Special Olympics North Carolina.
At a grants awards ceremony at Johnston Community College, Whittington thanked the community for support of the Johnston County Community Foundation. “These grants affect our entire community and our quality of life,” she said. “Now, more than ever, we are aware of the hard work these non-profits are doing to serve the needs of our citizens. These grants would not be possible without the generosity of many individuals and organizations that have supported Johnston County’s community fund.”
The Johnston County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.
