Wake holds professional advisor event at CAM

The professional advisors committee of the Wake County Community Foundation held a breakfast and exhibit tour at Raleigh's Contemporary Art Museum in February. NCCF Board Chair Stuart Dorsett spoke to the group about various charitable giving options to consider for their clients. Dorsett is a former member and past president of the Wake affiliate and an attorney with Ward and Smith, PA, where he heads the estate and trust division.

Jeff Raxlin, co-chair of the professional advisors committee, kicked off the event and thanked everyone for attending.

Raxlin said he was pleased with the turnout, which was a mix of financial advisors, CPAs and trust attorneys. The professional advisors committee held an event last year at NCCF's headquarters office on Six Forks, and he noted that NCCF's development team and the affiliate's board members were able to make some valuable contacts. He said the committee would more than likely make this an annual event.

Members of the professional advisors committee in addition to Raxlin are Jerry Sayre, co-chair; Margaret Winfield, Marty Clayton and Michelle Keaton-Barrow.

NCCF and the Wake County Community Foundation thank Duke Energy for helping to sponsor the event and CAM for hosting and conducting tours of the NC Arts Council Artist Fellowship Award Exhibition.
