Watauga grants cycle opens for 2012
The board of advisors of the Watauga County Community Foundation (WCCF) announces the opening of its 2012 grants cycle. Charitable organizations are invited to apply for financial support for local projects through WCCF until the new April 13 deadline. The April 7 deadline was pushed ahead due to the long holiday weekend.
In its 19th year of grant making, the WCCF has up to $12,000 to award for 2012, with contributions from two funds: the Watauga Legacy Fund and the Armfield and Rachel Rivers Coffey Memorial Fund. Grant amounts typically range from $500 to $2,000.
The community foundation’s grant process is entirely online again in 2012. For those without computer or Internet access, local libraries have computers available for the public to use free of charge.
