Wilkes Community Foundation awards more than $6,500 in local grants
The board of advisors of the Wilkes Community Foundation recently announced $6,530 in local grant awards from the community grantmaking fund.
This year the board granted:
- $1,305 to Appalachian State University for Appalachian Senior Programs
- $1,000 to Project Lazarus for Lazarus Recovery Services programs
- $1,000 to the Autism Society of North Carolina for autism resource specialists in Wilkes County
- $1,725 to the Wilkes Community Partnership for Children for the flu shot program
- $500 to the Yadkin River Greenway for the Mulberry Fields to Memorial Park Yadkin River Connector Project
- $1,000 to the Mediation and Restorative Justice Center for Restorative Justice Awareness programs in Wilkes County
