{"tinyMCE_dummy":"","title":"Wilkes Community Foundation awards more than $8,000 in local grants","url":"\/news\/wilkes-community-foundation-awards-more-than-8000-in-local-grants","meta":{"title":"","description":"","excludeFromSitemap":"No"},"ordinal":999,"content":"<p>The board of advisors of the Wilkes Community Foundation recently announced $8,100 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund and the Kyle Hayes Memorial Endowment.<\/p>\r\n<p>This year the board granted:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>$1,000 to Appalachian State University for the Appalachian Senior Programs<\/li>\r\n<li>$500 to Carolina Cross Connection for the Home Repair Program<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,000 to the Downtown North Wilkesboro Partnership, Inc. for the Small Business Recovery Promotion program<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,500 to the Mediation &amp; Restorative Justice Center for the Wilkes Restorative Conferencing Program<\/li>\r\n<li>$1,000 to the Ronda Community Volunteer Fire Department for general operating support<\/li>\r\n<li>$2,500 to the Wilkes Adult Developmental Activity Program, Inc. for the Operations Re-entry program.
