Wilson County Community Foundation awards $2,430 in local grants

The board of advisors of the Wilson County Community Foundation recently announced $2,430 in local grant awards from the community grantmaking fund.

This year the board granted:

• $615 to the Arts Council of Wilson, Inc. for the New York Theatre Ballet Performance to Wilson County Schools
• $1,200 to Seeds of Hope Wilson for the After School Program Excursion Grant
• $615 to the Veterans Residential Services of Wilson for Veterans Last Resource

Matthew Garrett, board president, thanked the community for its support of the Wilson County Community Foundation. “We are proud to support these nonprofit programs that are so vital to the community,” he said. “We are grateful to the many generous individuals and organizations that have supported our work to inspire philanthropy across our community.”
