“Local nonprofits are the backbone of our communities, just as women and girls are the heart of the family,” said Devinder Culver, Women for Women of Pitt County Endowment committee member. “The impacts of the gifts from the Endowment are immeasurable as they are truly investments in building healthy, safe communities. They help to feed our grandmas, safeguard our families, and empower our youth by supporting, and building the capacity of the organizations delivering these vital services.”

Founded in 2005, Women for Women of Pitt County Endowment has a deep history of grantmaking and community impact. After making $750,000 in grants to charitable organizations over 15 years, it transitioned to become an endowment at the North Carolina Community Foundation in 2020, using NCCF’s infrastructure to leverage resources and increase capacity in the community for perpetuity.

Since partnering with NCCF, Women for Women of Pitt County has awarded $385,000 in grants.
