Women for Women has a deep history of grantmaking and community impact in Pitt County, has made $750,000 in local grants throughout its history and is proud to continue that work through a charitable endowment fund at the North Carolina Community Foundation.<\/p>\r\n<p>This new arrangement will help Women for Women of Pitt County redouble its focus on the mission of serving local women and girls, according to Allyson Daugherty, board chair. &ldquo;The goal was an endowment that would be able to provide grant funds in perpetuity to organizations that support women and girls of Pitt County,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;The organization&rsquo;s needs had outgrown what we were able to provide, and NCCF has the infrastructure and outreach to be able to leverage resources and increase capacity in our community.&rdquo;<\/p>\r\n<p>The North Carolina Community Foundation is honored to welcome Women for Women of Pitt County, according to Jennifer Tolle Whiteside, NCCF CEO and president. &ldquo;We are so grateful to Women for Women of Pitt County for trusting us to steward this endowment fund,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;We are honored to serve as a partner and philanthropic home to this critical philanthropy.&rdquo;<\/p>\r\n<p>Women for Women of Pitt County plans to make local grants available to nonprofits serving women, children and families in the community early next year.<\/p>","excerpt":"","media":0,"custom":{"social_sharing":{"share_image":""},"masthead":{"title":"","counties":"","affiliate_logo":"","sub_text":"","background_image":"","caption":""},"post_image":{"image":""},"latest_blog":{"post":""}},"inMenu":false,"visibleTo":"Everyone","publishedAt":1607974653,"orderChildrenBy":"ordinal","enableComments":false,"permission":"read","id":"b75a629b21114d2faeba72c22c28b417","parent":"31bc018cb0694068b20999237c54f462","node":72997,"created":1607974653,"modified":1607974745,"fresh":1,"type":"post","children":{},"relations":{"category":[{"tinyMCE_dummy":"","title":"NCCF News","url":"\/categories\/nccf-news","meta":{"title":"","description":"","excludeFromSitemap":"No"},"ordinal":999,"content":"","excerpt":"","media":"0","inMenu":false,"visibleTo":"Everyone","publishedAt":1536248733,"source":null,"orderChildrenBy":"","id":"1b78a2294942490a941757f68891b9dd","parent":"9fd09d3a1e4f4302a38c86e00a22828b","node":20907,"created":1536248733,"modified":1536248733,"fresh":1,"type":"f9a6b2b005cb46ed8778f11c37e4d3a5","children":{}}]}}
