Women’s Giving Network of Wake County presents $128,000 in local grant awards at annual Impact Luncheon

The members of the Women's Giving Network of Wake County recently announced $128,000 in local grant awards at the 13th annual Impact Luncheon.

The grants committee of the Women's Giving Network of Wake County.

This year the Network granted:

  • $14,000 to Bloom Here to cover house rent for a year.  Their program is the only one of its kind in Wake County designed to support women survivors of trafficking, prostitution and addiction. 
  • $25,000 to Read and Feed for the Feed the Reader Summer Program. The Feed the Reader Summer program strengthens literary skills for grades K-5, providing the children of families with limited resources with meals, books, tutoring and mentoring. 
  • $40,000 to StepUp Ministry for life changing opportunities for Wake County women and children through comprehensive training programs and mentor relationships.
  • $20,000 to the Gifted Arts, Inc. for the GiftedImpact program which strengthens the character, confidence and leadership skills of youth through the arts.
  • $29,000 to the Green Chair Project for extension of their Sweeter Dreams program which will provide cribs to low income families to promote safe sleep for infants.
