Women’s Impact Network of New Hanover County launches new web page
NCCF is proud to sponsor nine established women’s giving programs throughout the state, with several new groups in the creation or exploration stages.
One of our newest programs is the Women’s Impact Network of New Hanover County. This group’s mission is to maximize women’s leadership in philanthropy and strengthen the New Hanover community through the power of collective giving. Their grant strategy is to make fewer but larger grants that will have impact. Their first grant was awarded last year to the Cape Fear Guardian ad Litem Association for the “Today’s Child Tomorrow’s Future” initiative. The $20,000 grant provided educational services such as tutoring, homework assistance and preparatory standardized testing for foster children.
The Women’s Impact Network of New Hanover County will hold its second annual grant awards luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the Blockade Runner in Wrightsville Beach. The keynote speaker will be Emmy-award-winning news reporter and anchor Pam Saulsby. For more information, contact Patricia Lawler.
We invite you to visit the Women’s Impact Network’s brand new web page, designed as a micro-site similar to our affiliate pages.
