YCCF Annual Dinner Honors Legacy of Susan Steelman

An Evening At Allison Oaks Honoring Susan Steelman’s Spirit of Philanthropy

The Yadkin Community Foundation will hold its annual dinner on Tuesday, October 9th at the Allison Oaks Vineyards Tasting Room located in downtown Yadknville.  The event will start with at social hour at 5:30 followed by dinner at 6:30.  Wines will be provided by Allison Oaks Vineyard.  

This year’s event will be held in honor and celebration of the life and “Spirit of Philanthropy” of Susan Steelman.  A longtime educator in Yadkin County Schools, Mrs. Steelman led a life devoted to service and her community.  She played an instrumental role in the early years of the Yadkin County Community Foundation and created an endowment fund to support the Deep Creek Friends Church in Yadkinville.  

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Yadkin Legacy Fund.  Grants from this fund, under the direction of the Yadkin County Community Foundation Board of Advisors, are used to address important needs within the county.
